The Season Begins!

All it takes is attending one event to realize how much i miss competing! Spent a day watching some clients and friends compete at the Davis Half marathon, plus had a few other clients racing in Austin Tx and San Francisco Half marathons as well. Best part about the races is EVERYONE was on fire having great races and results. Quite satisfying to see folks work hard, train smart and truely be able to execute on race day.

One of the challenging things for me is having the desire to get back to competition but the body not letting me. After surviving the knee surgeries i'm currently in the midst of sorting thru some "physiological issues". This is not quite the time / place to discuss it as the details are not 100% concrete yet. I have been sorting thru them for almost 6 weeks now and finally had to shut down all activity. Briefly ... i've had some physiological testing done and it confirms that my metabolic system is working at an INCREDIBLY inefficient rate. Symptoms confirmed, the trick now is finding out why, especially since most conventional medicine isn't helping forge thru the process! I'll keep you updated.
I had originaly planned to open the bike racing season ths weekend in my new teams colors (Boba Blue & Yellow) but it looks like it will have to wait for the time being.
Next up is the Winter Training Camp which i had initially had been planning to participate in. Looks like it might be 100% in the support vehicle instead ;( We will get pictures and i'll drop a few updates here if time allows during the camp. Wait until you see the "schwag bag" everyone will get!
My Best ... Dave
