More races around the country for the Train To Endure Crew over the last couple weeks. Traveling ranged from Anchorage, Alaska to Lubbock, Texas ... could you get any more diverse than those two places?
The picture is of Jen and a long time client / friend Cheryl Collins. Jen and Cheryl are two of the harder working ladies i support. (actually ... sometimes they work too hard ;) They had a great trip (along with Cheryl's Sherpa - Bob) to the Pacific Crest Half Iron race in the Bend, Oregon area. Can you tell they are happy?
At The Races ...
Marcus Hartley ... Overcoming a race week cold and adverse condition Marcus finished his first Ironman at Ironman Couer D' Alene. Kudos to Marcus as he is a busy family man and police officer!
Jen & Cheryl at Pacific Crest Half Iron ... this was a big step in the quest for Ironman Florida in November. Congrats ladies!Phil Johnson - Phil gave the same Pacific Crest race a go and had one of his best days ever. Things are looking good for his race at Vineman Ironman 70.3
Tom Ellefson - Tom traveled to Alaska for a half marathon as part of his preps for Vineman and he came back home with a HUGE personal best ... well done Tom!
Rob Chance - Rob continues to impress in his lead up for Ironman Hawaii in October. Rob executed a brilliant race in finishing just 45 seconds out of first place in his age group at the Buffalo Springs Ironman 70.3 in Lubbock, Texas. Rob is taking a little break right now before he starts his Kona preps.
Odessa Schexnaydre - In her final race before the big goal of Vineman Ironman 70.3, Odessa executed a VERY nice race at the popular San Jose International event. She appears to be ready to roll for Vineman!
Chuck Sloan - NATIONAL CHAMPION ... what can you say? At the USAT National Championship race, Chuck methodically picked his way through the filed and passed his final competitor in the finish chute to win the 30-34 National Championship. (by just one second) His race was also good for THIRD OVERALL, only 28 seconds out from first! Chuck will take a break before beginning his preparations for the World Championships in Hamburg Germany set for September.
More racing this week!
Best ... DL
