The Lugano!

Just recently got the new Javelin Lugano built up and finally buzzed it out for my first ride today over 90 minutes. First off, i need to thank some folks for helping me make this the best TT bike i have ever ridden:
> Javelin & Zero Wheels of Course ... especially Rob, Jeanne & Dave. Rob thanks for letting me have input into the bike. I know you are looking at the option of a 2nd seatpost that is a zero offset ;) Though he is not with the company anymore ... Scott Warren for getting me started with Javelin back in 2001!
> Blackwell Research ... thanks to Dave Bunce for helping me with the Blackwell carbon base bar and clip ons. Those two pieces are amazing and from what i can tell, so far, they are VERY comfortable. The frameset also comes with the Blackwell Fork.
> Rotor Products ... thanks to Howie for starting me with these guys and the support of Kervin helping me get some clents amd teammates on their products (this bike has Rotor bottom bracket, cranks, chain rings) ... i will also be adding the new Rotor stem to shorten up / lower the front end.
> Wheelbuilder.com ... the rear Zero wheel has a Power Tap SL built into and covered with a custom cut wheel cover. All by Rich Sawaris ... beautiful stuff Rich!
> PK Racing ... I appreciate the nice build and patience through the entire process from Christopher and Graham. These guys were impressed with the bike and the ease of the cable routing.
Though i have not spent much time on it, yet, i do have to say that the ride is wonderful ... smooth, quick, stiff, handles well and it's not even 100% dialed in. I just need to shorten up the front end a little. The major problem? Now i have to start riding enough to warrant cruising around on this sucker ;) I have been getting back to a whole bunch of shorter workouts so maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel!
That's it for now. I still have a nice blog entry i have been forming in my head about a particular athlete from my past. To pre-lude that article you have some homework. Please read Rob's blog entry at the link below. It will lead nicely into the entry i'll get around to writing.
I'm off to Hawaii in a couple days ... send good vibes to the Train To Endure racing crew!
Best ... DL

Just bought a Lugano myself...happy birthday to me actually and huge thanks to my family for making this dream a reality. I'll be riding with 808's and the SRAM Red Quarq!

Now that you've been on it a while, what feedback can you share?
